A tricky entrance through a layby close to a corner made the current farm access awkward and regularly inaccessible, however the proposed access, whilst further away from the corner, could not provide the required visibility splays for the speed of the road.

Therefore our transport consultants were employed to carry out an access appraisal to investigate whether it would be possible to move the entrance.  Automated Traffic Counts were taken and the 85th Percentile traffic speed proved to be within tolerance to allow the new entrance to be relocated.
